New Pattern: MPSC Rajyaseva Main Exam:
6 papers:
1) English (100 Marks) – Descriptive type questions
2) Marathi (100 Marks) – Descriptive type questions
3) General Studies Paper I (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) – 2 hours
4) General Studies Paper II (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) – 2 hours
5) General Studies Paper III (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) – 2 hours
6) General Studies Paper IV (150 Marks) – Objective type questions (MCQs) – 2 hours
Negative Marking for GS papers – For 2 wrong answers 1 mark will be cut.
Passing Marks:
45% in each of the 6 papers for Open Category
40% in each of the 6 papers for Reserved Categories (SC/ST/OBCs, etc)
Interview: 100 Marks

@Sachin, refer two books each for these two subjects and start your preparation. After completing the syllabus, take Mock Tests.
Sir after passing rajyaseva mains and interview how much time of training is provided to candidates?
@Aditya, it depends on the nature of post. It is between 1 and 2 yrs of training.

I m in 3rd yr electrical engineering, i want to start preparation for MPSC, but i hv done my schooling from CBSE board n i was not having marathi subject, so is it compulsry subjec for MPSC ????
@Pallavi, it is a compulsory paper at RS Mains and you MUST clear the paper otherwise you will not be eligible. You cna learn Marathi. You need to submit a proficiency certificate at the time of Interview. Sample is available on MPSC website.

@Kalpana, as I do not monitor that exam, I may not be of any help to you. However, you may refer the exam notification to find the syllabus/exam pattern details.

@Kshitij, you need to be a degree holder (not diploma) to be eligible for UPSC Civil Services exam (for IAS).
I will complete degree in 2017.( I’m planning for degree after polytechnic) So by keeping light on changes in main exam of UPSC what should I read now? How & what should I prepare right from now so as to crack IAS exam ? Please guide me ( considering my engg. Background…)
