Hi Friends
Thank you very much for taking the survey#1.
Lot many aspirants suggested to take a survey to calculate TOTAL score so please do let us know how many marks you expect in total. Please take this survey in order to inform others about your score.
How to calculate total score after negative marking?
First, check your answers with these answer keys. AnswerKeys – Paper I Paper II
Suppose you got the following marks in each paper:
- Paper I (100 questions, 200 marks, 2 marks per question ) : Attempted – 100 , Correct – 80, Incorrect – 20
- Paper 2 (80 questions, 200 marks, 2.5 marks per question) : Attempted – 80 , Correct – 60, Incorrect – 20 (18 wrong answers from Ques #1 to 73 and 02 wrong answers from Ques #74 to 80). Out of this, no marks are deducted for wrong answers from question #74 to 80, as they are from decision making and MPSC does not deduct marks for these questions.
Calculation of marks for Paper I:
Correct answers 80 x 2 = 160 marks
Deduction: (1 wrong answer x 0.33% marks) so for 1 wrong answer = 0.66 marks (R) marks. So for 20 wrong answers : 20 x 0.66 = 13.2 marks to be deducted from 160.
Final Score for Paper 1 : 160 – 13.2 = 146.8
Calculation of marks for Paper 2:
Correct answers 60 x 2.5 = 150 marks
Deduction: (1 wrong answer x 0.33% marks) so for 1 wrong answer = 0.82 marks (R) marks. So for 18 wrong answers : 18 x 0.82 = 14.76 marks to be deducted from 150.
Final Score for Paper 2: 150 – 14.76 = 135.24
Total Score (Paper I + 2) : 146.8 + 135.24 = 282 .04
So calculate your own marks based on the above calculation and then from the survey box, choose any one option.

@Vaishali, elections would be held in Apr-May 2014 and MPSC may announce its exam schedule well before the announcement of elections so there will not be any problem about exams being held in 2014. However, I feel that Rajyaseva exam might be held in May 2014 (after elections are over) on in Jun 2014.
“So for 20 wrong answers : 20 x 0.66 = 13.2 marks to be deducted from 160”
Sir
How to calculate total score after negative marking?
It should be
“So for 20 wrong answers : 20 x 0.33 = 6.6 marks to be deducted from 160”
Pls Correct
@Vikas, my dear 0.33% (I repeat percent) of the wrong answer (i.e. 0.33% of 2 marks) is deducted so 0.33% of 2 marks is 0.66 marks (I repeat marks).
for 20 wrong answers they will cut 0.66 marks of each wrong answer so it comes to 13.2 marks (20 wrong answers x 0.66 marks). Understood?
Right Sir.
sir is there any chance of increasing ratio of passing candidates for mpsc pre 13
@Sachin, I don’t think so.

@Abhishek, you should write your issues on separate papers for Paper I & II by mentioning question numbers with correct answers supported by authenticated sources and send them in a single envelope to “Under Secretary (Confidential), Maharashtra Lokseva Aayog, 3rd Floor, Bank of India Building, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Mumbai – 1”. Remember that your representation should reach MPSC by 29th May 2013.
