1. टाळता येणाऱ्या अंधत्वाला प्रतिबंध करण्याचे उपराष्ट्रपतींचे आवाहन:

– नेत्रसंबधित आरोग्याबद्दल जनजागृती आणि ग्रामीण भागात उपलब्ध असेल अशा किफायतशीर नेत्र आरोग्य उपाययोजना यामुळे टाळता येण्याजोग्या अंधत्वाला प्रतिबंध करता येईल असे आग्रही प्रतिपादन उपराष्ट्रपती एम् व्यंकय्या नायडू यांनी आज केले.

– नॅशनल ब्लाइंडनेस अँड व्हिज्युअल इम्पेअरमेंट सर्व्हे 2019 ने अहवाल दिला की भारतातील ५० वर्षांपेक्षा कमी वयाच्या रुग्णांमध्ये कॉर्नियल अंधत्व हे अंधत्वाचे प्रमुख कारण आहे, हे ३.5.५% प्रकरणांमध्ये आहे आणि ५० वर्षांवरील रुग्णांमध्ये अंधत्वाचे दुसरे प्रमुख कारण आहे.

Vice President calls for preventing avoidable blindness:

– The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu today stressed the need to prevent avoidable blindness by spreading awareness about eye health and developing cost-effective eye care solutions which are accessible to the rural population.

– The National Blindness and Visual Impairment Survey 2019 reported that corneal blindness was the leading cause of blindness among patients aged less than 50 years in India, accounting for 37.5% of the cases and was the second leading cause of blindness among patients above the age of 50 years.

2. पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये बॅडमिंटनमध्ये कांस्यपदक:

– पंतप्रधान श्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी टोकियो येथे पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये बॅडमिंटनमध्ये कांस्य पदक जिंकल्याबद्दल मनोज सरकारचे अभिनंदन केले आहे.

– The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has congratulated Manoj Sarkar for winning Bronze medal in Badminton at the Paralympics Games in Tokyo.

3. पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये बॅडमिंटनमध्ये सुवर्णपदक:

– पंतप्रधान, श्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी टोकियो येथे पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये बॅडमिंटनमध्ये सुवर्णपदक जिंकल्याबद्दल प्रमोद भगत यांचे अभिनंदन केले आहे.

4. पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये नेमबाजी रौप्य पदक:

– पंतप्रधान, श्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी टोकियो येथे पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये रौप्य पदक जिंकल्याबद्दल नेमबाज सिंहराज अधना यांचे अभिनंदन केले आहे.

5. पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये नेमबाजी सुवर्णपदक:

– पंतप्रधान, श्री नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी टोकियो येथे पॅरालिम्पिक गेम्समध्ये सुवर्णपदक जिंकल्याबद्दल नेमबाज मनीष नरवाल यांचे अभिनंदन केले आहे.

6. भारत-सिंगापूर यांच्यातील द्विपक्षीय संयुक्त सागरी युद्धाभ्यास ‘सिंबेक्स’चे 28 वे सत्र:

– भारत- सिंगापूर नौदलाच्या अठ्ठाविसाव्या द्विपक्षीय सरावसत्राचे आयोजन 02 ते 04 सप्टेंबर 2021 या कालावधीत केले गेले होते.

– या युद्धाभ्यासात, भारतीय नौदलाचे प्रतिनिधित्व आयएनएस रणविजय ही गाइडेड क्षेपणास्त्र विनाशिका युद्धनौका आणि या जहाजावरील हेलीकॉप्टर, एएसडब्ल्यू कर्वेट आयएनएस किल्तान आणि कोर्वेट आयएनएस कोरा या क्षेपणास्त्र संहारक युद्धनौका, तसेच P8I हे नौदलाचे लांब टप्प्याच्या गस्ती विमान यांनी केले. सिंगापूर हवाईदलाच्या (RSAF) चार F-16 लढाऊ विमानांनी सुद्धा हवाई संरक्षण कवायतीत भाग घेतला होता.

– 1994 साली सुरु झालेला SIMBEX म्हणजेच सिंगापूर-भारत नौदल द्विपक्षीय संयुक्त युद्धाभ्यास   भारतीय नौदलाच्या इतर कोणत्याही परकीय नौदलासोबत चालणाऱ्या द्विपक्षीय सराव सत्रापैकी सर्वात जास्त काळ आणि  सातत्याने सुरू असलेला युद्धाभ्यास आहे.

28th EDITION OF SINGAPORE-INDIA MARITIME BILATERAL EXERCISE ‘SIMBEX’:

– The 28th edition of Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) was conducted from 02 to 04 Sep 21.

– The Indian Navy was represented by Guided Missile Destroyer INS Ranvijay with a ship borne helicopter, ASW Corvette INS Kiltan and Guided Missile Corvette INS Kora and one P8I Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Participants from the RSN included one Formidable Class Frigate, RSS Steadfast, embarked with an S-70B naval helicopter, one Victory Class Missile Corvette, RSS Vigour, one Archer Class Submarine and one Fokker-50 Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Four F-16 fighter aircraft of the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) also participated in the exercise during the Air Defence Drills.

– Initiated in 1994, SIMBEX is the Indian Navy’s longest uninterrupted bilateral maritime exercise with any foreign navy.

7. आसामच्या प्रादेशिक अखंडतेची सुनिश्चिती करून या भागात अनेक दशके रेंगाळत राहिलेली समस्या संपविण्याच्या हेतूने या ऐतिहासिक कार्बी अँगलाँग करारावर स्वाक्षऱ्या झाल्या:

– आसामच्या प्रादेशिक अखंडतेची सुनिश्चिती करून या भागात अनेक दशके रेंगाळत राहिलेली समस्या संपविण्याच्या हेतूने ऐतिहासिक कार्बी अँगलाँग करारावर आज नवी दिल्ली येथे केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शहा यांच्या उपस्थितीत स्वाक्षऱ्या करण्यात आल्या.

या कराराची ठळक वैशिष्ट्ये:

– हा सामंजस्य करार कार्बी अँगलाँग स्वायत्त मंडळाला अधिक स्वायत्तता मिळेल तसेच कार्बी जनतेची विशिष्ट ओळख, भाषा, संस्कृती, इत्यादींचे संरक्षण होईल याची हमी देईल आणि आसामच्या प्रादेशिक तसेच प्रशासकीय अखंडतेला धक्का न लावता मंडळाच्या कार्यकक्षेतील प्रदेशाचा विकास साधण्यावर लक्ष केंद्रित करेल.

– हिंसेचा मार्ग सोडून या भागात कायद्याने प्रस्थापित केलेल्या शांततापूर्ण लोकशाही प्रक्रियेत सामील होण्यास सशस्त्र कार्बी गटांनी सहमती व्यक्त केली आहे. सशस्त्र गटाच्या कार्यकर्त्यांचे पुनर्वसन करण्याची सुविधा देखील या करारान्वये देण्यात आली आहे.

– कार्बी अँगलाँग स्वायत्त मंडळाच्या प्रदेशाव्यतिरिक्त इतर ठिकाणी स्थायिक झालेल्या कार्बी लोकांच्या विकासावर लक्ष केंद्रित करण्यासाठी आसाम राज्य सरकार कार्बी कल्याण मंडळाची स्थापना करणार आहे.

– एकंदरीत, हा करार कार्बी अँगलाँग स्वायत्त मंडळाला अधिक विधायक, कार्यकारी, प्रशासकीय आणि आर्थिक क्षमता प्रदान करण्याचा विचार मांडत आहे.

Historic Karbi Anglong Agreement to end the decades old crisis ensuring Assam’s territorial integrity signed:

– In the presence of Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, a historic Karbi Anglong Agreement to end the decades old crisis ensuring Assam’s territorial integrity was signed in New Delhi today.

Salient features of the Agreement:

– This Memorandum of Settlement will ensure greater devolution of autonomy to the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, protection of identity, language, culture, etc. of Karbi people and focussed development of the Council area, without affecting the territorial and administrative integrity of Assam.

– ​​​​​​​The Karbi armed groups have agreed to abjure violence and join the peaceful democratic process as established by law of the land. The Agreement also provides for rehabilitation of cadres of the armed groups.

– The Government of Assam shall set up a Karbi Welfare Council for focussed development of Karbi people living outside KAAC area.

– The Consolidated Fund of the State will be augmented to supplement the resources of KAAC.

– Overall, the present settlement proposes to give more legislative, executive, administrative and financial powers to KAAC.
