1. राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद यांच्या हस्ते 2019-20 साठीची राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजनेची पारितोषिके प्रदान:

– राष्ट्रपती रामनाथ कोविंद यांनी 2019-20 साठीची राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजनेची पारितोषिके आज एका आभासी समारंभात प्रदान केली.

– राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजनेची सुरुवात 1969 साली महात्मा गांधीजींच्या जन्मशताब्दीच्या दिवशी झाली होती.

– युवक व्यवहार व क्रीडा मंत्रालयाने राष्ट्रीय सेवा योजनेच्या रौप्यमहोत्सवी वर्षानिमित्त 1993-94 साली या पुरस्कारांची सुरुवात केली होती. देशभरातील विद्यापीठे/ महाविद्यालये, (+2) परिषदा , उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालये, NSS युनिट्स / कार्यक्रम अधिकारी आणि  NSS स्वयंसेवक यांनी स्वैच्छिक समाजसेवेसाठी दिलेल्या विशेष योगदानाला मान्यता देऊन पुरस्कृत करणे हा यामागचा हेतू आहे.

President of India Presents National Service Scheme Awards for the year 2019-20:

– The President of India, Shri Ram Nath Kovind presented the National Service Scheme Awards for the year 2019-20 in a virtual ceremony today (September 24, 2021).

– National Service Scheme was established in 1969, on the occasion of the birth centenary of Mahatma Gandhi.

– The NSS Awards were instituted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports in 1993-94 on the occasion of Silver Jubilee Year of National Service Scheme. The aim of these awards is to recognise and reward outstanding contributions towards voluntary community service made by the Universities/ Colleges, (+2) Councils and Senior Secondary, NSS Units/ Programme Officers and NSS Volunteers.

2. रशियातील ओरेनबर्ग येथे शांघाय सहकार्य संघटनेच्या  (एससीओ) सदस्य देशांच्या  संयुक्त लष्करी प्रशिक्षण सरावाचा समारोप:

– नैऋत्य रशियाच्या ओरेनबर्ग प्रदेशात रशियाद्वारे आयोजित शांघाय सहकार्य संघटनेच्या सदस्य देशांच्या शांतता अभियान : 2021 या लष्करी सरावाच्या सहाव्या आवृत्तीचा समारोप 24 सप्टेंबर 2021 रोजी झाला. शांघाय सहकार्य संघटनेच्या  सदस्य देशांमधील दृढ संबंधांना चालना देण्यासाठी आणि बहुराष्ट्रीय लष्करी तुकडीचे संचालन करण्याच्या दृष्टीने, देशांच्या लष्कराची क्षमता वाढवण्याच्या उद्देशाने, शांघाय सहकार्य संघटनेच्या  (एससीओ) सदस्य देशांच्या सशस्त्र दलांचा समावेश असलेले बारा दिवसांचे संयुक्त प्रशिक्षण आयोजित करण्यात आले होते.

Joint Military Training Exercise With Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (Sco) Member States Culminates At Orenburg, Russia:

– The 6th Edition of Exercise PEACEFUL MISSION: 2021 of SCO Member States hosted by Russia at the Orenburg Region of South West Russia culminated on 24 September 2021. The twelve days long joint training involving Armed Forces of all Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) member states was organised with an aim to foster close relations between SCO member states and to enhance abilities of the military leaders to command multinational military contingents.

3. झूलॉजिकल सर्व्हे ऑफ इंडिया आणि युनायटेड किंगडमचे नैसर्गिक इतिहास संग्रहालय यांच्यात सामंजस्य करार (एमओयू):

– भारताकडे जगातील केवळ 2.4% क्षेत्रफळ आहे परंतु भारतातील प्रजाती विविधता 8.1 टक्के आहे ज्यामुळे भारत जगातील बारा मेगा विविधता देशांपैकी एक बनतो.

– भारतातून सरासरी 350-400 प्रजाती नवीन आहेत जे ZSI शास्त्रज्ञ आणि नैसर्गिक इतिहास आणि संवर्धनावर काम करणारे इतर शोधत आहेत.

– भारत जगातील मेगाडायव्हर्स देशांपैकी एक आहे ज्यामध्ये वनस्पतींच्या 45,000 प्रजाती आहेत आणि भारतात 100,000 पेक्षा जास्त प्राणी नोंदले गेले आहेत.

– ओळखले जाणारे मेगाडायव्हर्स देश आहेत: युनायटेड स्टेट्स ऑफ अमेरिका, मेक्सिको, कोलंबिया, इक्वेडोर, पेरू, व्हेनेझुएला, ब्राझील, डेमोक्रॅटिक रिपब्लिक ऑफ कांगो, दक्षिण आफ्रिका, मेडागास्कर, भारत, मलेशिया, इंडोनेशिया, फिलिपिन्स, पापुआ न्यू गिनी, चीन आणि ऑस्ट्रेलिया .

– ZSI हे संपूर्ण दक्षिण आणि आग्नेय आशियातील प्राण्यांचे सर्वात मोठे भांडार आहे.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Zoological Survey of India and the Natural History Museum of United Kingdom:

– India has only 2.4% of the world’s land area but the species diversity in India is 8.1 percent which makes India one of twelve mega diversity countries of the world.

– There are average 350-400 species new to science from India are being discovered by ZSI scientists and others working on natural history and conservation.

– India is one of the megadiverse countries in the world with 45,000 species of plants and more than 100,000 of the animals have been recorded in India.

– The identified Megadiverse Countries are: United States of America, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Brazil, Democratic Republic of Congo, South Africa, Madagascar, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, China, and Australia.

– ZSI is the largest repository of Fauna in the entire south and Southeast Asia region.
