• मोहम्मद हुसामुद्दीनने 2022 च्या राष्ट्रकुल क्रीडा स्पर्धेत पुरुषांच्या 57 किलो वजनी गटात कांस्यपदक जिंकले आहे.
• रोहित टोकसने कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स 2022 मध्ये बॉक्सिंगमध्ये कांस्य पदक जिंकले आहे.
• पूजा सिहागने 2022 च्या राष्ट्रकुल क्रीडा स्पर्धेत महिलांच्या 76 किलो कुस्तीमध्ये कांस्य पदक जिंकले आहे.
• दीपक नेहराने कॉमनवेल्थ गेम्स 2022 मध्ये पुरुषांच्या फ्रीस्टाइल 97 किलो कुस्तीमध्ये कांस्यपदक जिंकले आहे.

2. Vice President Shri Naidu Hosts High Tea:
   Vice President Shri Naidu hosts high tea for officials and staff of VP Secretariat and Rajya Sabha Secretariat, team of doctors and Air Force crew.

The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu, who is scheduled to demit office on 10th August, hosted a series of high tea receptions in the last week for the officials and staff of the VP Secretariat, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, the team of doctors and the Air Force crew who performed duties for the Vice President. Shri Naidu was given an emotional farewell by the members at these gatherings, who recalled their pleasant memories of working for the Vice President.

Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu was sworn in as the 13th Vice President of India on 11th August, 2017 and has many achievements to his credit when he demits office after completing his tenure of 5 years.

During the 13 sessions presided over by Shri Naidu, overall productivity of Rajya Sabha increased from 42.77% for the first five sessions to 82.34% for the next eight sessions.

An ardent advocate of promoting mother tongues and Indian culture, Shri Naidu’s tenure saw a marked increase in the use of Indian languages in the proceedings of the Upper House. Dogri, Konkani, Kashmiri and Santhali were used for the first time in Rajya Sabha since 1952 with simultaneous translation facilities provided by the RS Secretariat. Similarly, Assamese, Bodo, Gujarati, Maithili, Manipuri and Nepali languages were used in Rajya Sabha after a long gap.

When the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic disrupted life across the globe, several imaginative initiatives were taken under Shri Naidu’s leadership to enable smooth functioning of the Parliament, such as virtual presentation of reports by Parliamentary Committees.

A leader firmly rooted in Indian values, he discontinued several colonial practices such as the term ‘I beg to lay on the table of the House’ and replaced it with ‘I rise to lay…’. The outdated term ‘His Excellency’ was replaced simply with ‘Honourable Vice President’ to emphasise on India’s democratic ethos.

उपराष्ट्रपती नायडू यांनी चहापान केले आयोजित:
उपराष्ट्रपती नायडू यांनी उपराष्ट्रपती सचिवालय आणि राज्यसभा सचिवालयातील अधिकारी आणि कर्मचारी दल, डॉक्टरांचे पथक आणि हवाई दलाच्या कर्मचाऱ्यांसाठी चहापान केले आयोजित

उपराष्ट्रपती एम. व्यंकय्या नायडू यांचा कार्यकाळ 10 ऑगस्ट रोजी संपत असल्याने त्यांनी गेल्या आठवड्यात उपराष्ट्रपतींच्या सेवेत असणारे उपराष्ट्रपती सचिवालय, राज्यसभा सचिवालयातले अधिकारी आणि कर्मचारी, हवाई दल कर्मचारी तसेच डॉक्टरांचे पथक यांच्यासाठी चहापानाच्या मालिकेचे आयोजन केले होते. या कार्यक्रमात सर्व कर्मचारी सदस्यांनी नायडू यांना भावनिक निरोप दिला तसेच उपराष्ट्रपतींबरोबर काम करतानाच्या त्यांच्या सुखद आठवणींना उजाळा दिला.

श्री एम. व्यंकय्या नायडू यांनी 11 ऑगस्ट, 2017 रोजी भारताचे 13 वे उपराष्ट्रपती म्हणून शपथ घेतली आणि 5 वर्षांचा कार्यकाळ पूर्ण केल्यानंतर पद सोडताना त्यांच्याकडे अनेक उपलब्धी आहेत.

श्री नायडू यांच्या अध्यक्षतेखालील 13 सत्रांमध्ये, राज्यसभेची एकूण उत्पादकता पहिल्या पाच सत्रांसाठी 42.77% वरून पुढील आठ सत्रांसाठी 82.34% पर्यंत वाढली.

मातृभाषा आणि भारतीय संस्कृतीच्या प्रचाराचे प्रखर पुरस्कर्ते असलेल्या नायडू यांच्या कार्यकाळात वरिष्ठ सभागृहाच्या कामकाजात भारतीय भाषांच्या वापरात लक्षणीय वाढ झाली. 1952 पासून राज्यसभेत प्रथमच डोगरी, कोकणी, काश्मिरी आणि संथाली भाषांचा वापर राज्यसभा सचिवालयाद्वारे एकाचवेळी अनुवाद सुविधांसह करण्यात आला. त्याचप्रमाणे आसामी, बोडो, गुजराती, मैथिली, मणिपुरी आणि नेपाळी भाषांचा वापर राज्यसभेत प्रदीर्घ कालावधीनंतर झाला.

जेव्हा कोविड-19च्या अभूतपूर्व साथीच्या रोगाने जगभरातील जनजीवन विस्कळीत झाले होते तेव्हा संसदेचे कामकाज सुरळीत चालण्यासाठी नायडू यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली संसदीय समित्यांच्या अहवालांचे आभासी सादरीकरण यासारखे अनेक कल्पक उपक्रम राबवण्यात आले घेण्यात आले.

भारतीय मूल्यांवर दृढ विश्वास असलेल्या या नेत्याने ‘आय बेग टू ले ऑन द टेबल ऑफ द हाऊस’ ही संज्ञा वापरणे यांसारख्या अनेक वसाहतवादी प्रथा बंद केल्या आणि त्याऐवजी ‘आय रायझ टू ले…’ असा शब्दप्रयोग सुरू केला. भारताच्या लोकशाही आचारसंहितेवर भर देण्यासाठी कालबाह्य झालेल्या ‘महामहिम’ या शब्दाच्या जागी फक्त ‘माननीय उपराष्ट्रपती’ असा शब्द वापरण्याची सूचना केली.

3. 8th National Handloom Day:
   The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid a tribute to India’s rich cultural diversity and all those working to celebrate India’s artistic traditions on the occasion of National Handloom Day. The Prime Minister also urged all youngsters associated with the world of StartUps to take part in Handloom Startup Grand Challenge.

आठवा राष्ट्रीय हातमाग दिन:
पंतप्रधान नरेंद्र मोदी यांनी राष्ट्रीय हातमाग दिनी भारताच्या समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विविधतेला आणि भारताच्या कलात्मक परंपरांची जोपासना करण्यासाठी काम करत असलेल्या सर्वांना अभिवादन केले आहे. स्टार्ट अप्सशी संबंधित युवा वर्गाने हातमागविषयक स्टार्टअप ग्रँड चॅलेंज या स्पर्धेत सहभागी होण्याचे देखील पंतप्रधानांनी आवाहन केले आहे.

4. Signing of the certification of the election of Shri Jagdeep Dhankar as the 14th Vice President of the India:
   The Commission had announced the schedule for the 14th Vice Presidential Election vide its press note dated 29th June, 2022, fixing inter-alia August 6, 2022 as the date of poll and date of counting.

As scheduled, the poll was taken on August 6, 2022 at Parliament House in New Delhi. Out of a total 780 electors who were eligible to vote, 725 electors exercised their franchise, out of which 15 ballot papers were declared invalid.

The Returning Officer of the said election, the Secretary General of Lok Sabha, after the counting of votes was over, declared Shri Jagdeep Dhankar elected as the next Vice President of India on August 6, 2022.

The process which was initiated on 05th July, 2022 with the publication of programme notification in the Gazette has culminated today with the signing of the Certification of the Election of Shri Jagdeep Dhankar as the fourteenth Vice President of the Republic of India by Sh. Rajiv Kumar, Chief Election Commissioner of India and Sh. Anup Chandra Pandey, Election Commissioner.

Thereafter, a signed copy of the same was handed over to the Union Home Secretary by Sh. Dharmendra Sharma, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner and Sh. Narendra N. Butolia, Senior Principal Secretary which will be read out at the time of oath taking ceremony of the new Vice President of India on 11th August, 2022.

श्री जगदीप धनकर यांच्या भारताचे 14 वे उपाध्यक्ष म्हणून निवड झाल्याच्या प्रमाणपत्रावर स्वाक्षरी:
आयोगाने 29 जून 2022 च्या प्रेस नोटद्वारे 14 व्या उपराष्ट्रपतीपदाच्या निवडणुकीचे वेळापत्रक जाहीर केले होते आणि इतर बाबींमध्ये 6 ऑगस्ट 2022 ही मतदानाची तारीख आणि मतमोजणीची तारीख निश्चित केली होती.

नियोजित वेळेनुसार, 6 ऑगस्ट 2022 रोजी नवी दिल्लीतील संसद भवन येथे मतदान घेण्यात आले. मतदानासाठी पात्र असलेल्या एकूण 780 मतदारांपैकी 725 मतदारांनी मतदानाचा हक्क बजावला, त्यापैकी 15 मतपत्रिका अवैध ठरविण्यात आल्या.

या निवडणुकीचे रिटर्निंग ऑफिसर, लोकसभेचे सरचिटणीस यांनी मतमोजणी संपल्यानंतर श्री जगदीप धनकर यांची 6 ऑगस्ट 2022 रोजी भारताचे पुढील उपराष्ट्रपती म्हणून निवड झाल्याचे घोषित केले.

05 जुलै, 2022 रोजी राजपत्रात कार्यक्रम अधिसूचना प्रकाशित करून सुरू करण्यात आलेली प्रक्रिया आज श्री जगदीप धनकर यांच्या भारतीय प्रजासत्ताकाचे चौदावे उपराष्ट्रपती म्हणून निवड झाल्याच्या प्रमाणपत्रावरराजीव कुमार, भारताचे मुख्य निवडणूक आयुक्त आणि श्री. अनुप चंद्र पांडे, निवडणूक आयुक्त यांची स्वाक्षरी करून पूर्ण झाली आहे.

त्यानंतर त्याची स्वाक्षरी केलेली प्रत श्री. धर्मेंद्र शर्मा, वरिष्ठ उपनिवडणूक आयुक्त आणि श्री. नरेंद्र एन. बुटोलिया, वरिष्ठ प्रधान सचिव यांनी केंद्रीय गृह सचिवांना दिली जी 11 ऑगस्ट 2022 रोजी भारताच्या नवीन उपराष्ट्रपतींच्या शपथविधी समारंभाच्या वेळी वाचली जाईल.
