Sir what is your opinion regarding the changes in the Rajyaseva Mains syllabus .?
Don’t you think that just by having multiple choice questions in the mains limits the ability of the canditate to think beyond the box..
for e.g If tomorrow he becomes a class 1 officer and has to take an imp decision ,so will he think like by looking at different options that he has …opt 1,opt 2,….
If there is theory paper as in case of UPSC ,it lets the examiner know how and what the canditate is thinking rather than giving him the options beforehand?
I know we cannot do anything much about it but could u please justify the rationale behind having MCQ type questions in Mains and is it beneficial ?
@Rahul, everyone has his/her own view towards anything so my view might be different from your’s. In my opinion, the new syllabus (Mains) is good and MCQs is the best medium to test one’s intellectual, analytic capability. The purpose of both types of exam (written – old system and MCQs – current system) is same – to choose best brains. One may write anything in the written paper but (s)he may not be chosen if the content is not written from intelligent point of view. The old system was not good (due to lack of explanation skills) for deserving candidates from Rural parts of Maharashtra but with new system they have better chances of selection (only and only if they are deserving). Any person who is able to apply his mind will make a perfect decision if if he has or doesn’t have options; he will do it by any means. If one is so sure about his capability, he can make it to the top anyhow. In my opinion, the current system is more beneficial to everyone.

As far as Notes goes, we do not recommend ready made notes.
