Sir, is mobile flat feet permissible at physical test for psi? Pls reply
@Mandar, I have never came across a candidate who has been rejected for PSI because of flat feet. However, you must remember that Police service is a technical service and a PSI needs to work for longer hours in emergencies. I have read a case decided by Administrative Tribunal wherein a candidate’s plea for UPSC was rejected by the tribunal citing the security and national importance as the reasons. National security and public service comes before an individual interest. In that case, the candidate was rejected by the medical board being a flat feet person. I suggest people with flat feet to opt for non-technical services/posts like IAS/IFS/Dy Collectr/Tehsildar,BDO, etc.

Hello sir, I have completed my graduation from B.M.S field this year. And I am looking forward for MPSC – PSI 2014 exam. But I belong to open category. Do I need to secure around 240 or more marks out off 300 to clear this exam? How much marks is required to clear preliminary exam. Please clear my doubt. Thank you.

@Ajaz, the cut off changes with every exam. Please explore “MPSC PSI” menu here to find out the previous cut offs.

Sir i have completed my B.E in 2011 and currently i am a working professional in an I.T company.I have the following queries:
1.I plan to continue with my work till next may or june(2013),after which i will quit. During this period i want to study or just go through the basics of different subjects in the MPSC Rajyaseva so that i will get a jist of every subject as well as the topics under those subjects, so is it possible that i can continue with my job and prepare for the exam taking into consideration that i am targeting 2014 as my first proper attempt.The reason being that i dont think if i leave my job right now i will be sure of clearing MPSC in 2013.Could you please tell me whether i am thinking in the right direction?
2.Does work experience has an additional weightage or benefit in anyways while getting through the different posts offered by MPSC Rajyaseva exam?
@Rahul, here are answers to your queries: 1) You should seriously prepare for 2013 because keeping a long time target (2014) would be risky. You may loose focus during this period. Yes, continue with your job and devote at least 3 to 4 hours everyday for 1 year. 2) Work experience is NOT mandatory and may not play major role. However, work experience can be a positive point.
But taking into consideration the change in syllabus i.e Mains have 4 objective papers which will require very thorough reading,so do you think one year time giving 4 hrs daily will be sufficient for 2013 MPSC ?
@Rahul, yes, 4 hours everyday for 1 year is sufficient. All you need to do is plan your studies (written study plan on paper is a MUST) according to the syllabus and available books/magazines. You MUST complete syllabus of Main exam before you start with Prelims. Our PGP (Personal Guidance Program) is based on this strategy.

@Sachin, you can prepare for UPSC Indian Engg Services exam, UPSC Civil Services exam, MPSC Engg Services exam and MPSC State Services exam as well as MPSC PSI/STi/Asst exams.
