Open – Max age – 32 yrs / Attempts – 06
OBC – Max Age – 35 yrs / Attempts – 09
SC/ST – Max Age – 37 yrs / Attempts – No Limit on attempts

@Amol, yes, once you apply and clear Prelims, you are eligible till the Interview stage of that year.

Dear Sir my D.O.B is 05.02.1983 I belong to open category. How many more attempts I have for MPSC. I am sure about 2015… But what about 2016 ?? Regards

Sir I have gone through lots of news and website about age and attempt relaxation thing. What I found is there will be age relaxation only if required. Its pretty confusing. but you have clearly metioned that is is 32 for general gategory. I am rt nw 30 and want to prepare for upsc ( for the first time) and would be leaving job for the same. so just want to make sure that i am eligible for exam before taking any decision. can you please help?

@Nimba, age is calculated as on 1st August every year for UPSC CSP. I think you are OBC and you are completing 35 yrs before 1st Aug 2014 so you are not eligible.
Thank you sir, Grt News..Hope they do it for PSI MPSC also and make it 33 years. I am willing to attempt PSI 2014, but my age is 32+ (OBC) Please suggest if something can be done.
