Some facts about candidates being called for Main Exam:
If there are 20 vacancies reserved for SC students then 13 times candidates (of these reserved vacancies) are called to fill-up Main exam’s form.
Calculation: 20 x 13 = 260
(20 vacancies x 13 times = 260 candidates)
Some facts about candidates being called for Interview:
If there are 20 vacancies reserved for SC students then 2 to 3 times candidates (of these reserved vacancies) are called for Interview.
Calculation: 20 x 3 = 60
(20 vacancies x 3 times = 60 candidates)

@Rahul, it depends on the cut offs for your category and your marks. Every year the cut-offs are different. You can check them on MPSC website as well as on this blog.

@महेश, नाही. वयाची किंवा फी ची सुट घेऊन तसे करता येणार नाही. आता एमपीएससी राज्यसेवा/एस.टी.आय./सहाय्यक कक्ष अधिकारी साठी वयाची मर्यादा ओपनसाठी 38 वर्षे आहे आणि ओबीसी साठी 43वर्षे आहे तर वयाची सुट घ्यायची गरजच नाही. अर्ज भरतांना दोन्ही वर्गासाठी “हो” म्हणावे आणि फी ओपन ची भरावी म्हणजे ओपन साठी तुमचा विचार केल्या जाईल.

@Abhishek, a small advice, never target the cut offs if you wish to succeed. Put in your best efforts over 1 or 2 years and prepare extremely well for UPSC exam. There is nothing that can’t be achieved but it may take time. Have faith in yourself.

I have good mugging up capability yet i find my self confused so as to which subject must i choose. History seems to be too vast and never ending. people arouund me say that i must take up my mech sub for the IAS. but clubbing up Mechanical subs with another optional sub will make it extremely Tough.

I am Jahnavi doing B.Arch 3rd year in Nashik.
I have a holiday of one and half month after every sem. and now i just cleared my 5th sem. So i am free for approx 2 months now to study for MPSC.
I was in the merit list of 10th board , 7th and 4th standard scholarship , NTSE , MTSE , Homi Bhabha….
I always wanted to be a class one officer and now as i had planned I have started preparing for prelims and mains …
but it will take 2 more years till i become an architect.. but i want to strat studying now because i feel that 2 years are less for complete preparation….
Now my problem is that I really dont know how to start with… i have started paper 3 HRD and Human rights… but i feel that after 2 years there is a chance of forgetting what i have studied …..
Sir I am really confused … please tell me what should I do at this stage….
