There has been a lot of speculation about MS-CIT certification for government jobs in Maharashtra.

Here is the GR that was issued by Govt of Maharashtra about recognised academic Degrees/Certificates (like computer technology, computer engg, IT, computer application, ADCSSAA, etc). Click this: – gcom020801

One has to clear any (only one exam) of the following exams within 2 years of joining the post (according to GR dated 19 Mar 2003):
1. MSCIT
2. DOEACC – CCC/O Level/A Level/B level/C level.

@साक्षी, एमपीएससीच्या परीक्षा देण्याअगोदर नाही पण डॉक्युमेंट व्हेरिफिकेशन (किंवा मुलाखत असेल तर त्यावेळी) MSCIT प्रमाणपत्र दाखवावे लागेल. तुम्ही आता कोर्स जॉईन करा व एमपीएससी साठी अभ्यासही सुरू करा. 4-5 महिन्यात प्रमाणपत्र मिळवा.

सर माझ्याकडे NIELTI ( National Institute Of Electronics and Information Technology ) चे certificate आहे. मला MS-CIT करावी लागेल का?

Sir my self completed BMS from mumbai university and preparing for mpsc so there is need mscit certificate at a time of documentation.

@Raghvendra, no, it’s not required once you have cleared MS CIT.

@दीपक, हो, येऊ शकतो पण कदाचित ते वेळ देतील (साधारण एक वर्ष), निश्चित सांगता येणार नाही. आधी वेळ द्यायचे.
Respected sir, Mechanical engineering chya degree course(4years) madhe aamhala Computer Application ha subject 3 different semester madhe syllable la asto….tar ha subject government GR nusar MS-CIT la equivalent consider kela jato kay, aani government chya sarvach vibhagat(including MSRTC and STATE RTO DEPT.) MS-CIT sathi 2 years chi mudat navin job applicants na pan aste kay hyabaddal krupaya margdarshan karave.

@Niral, if your degree is recognised (with respect to computers) by the organisation mentioned on this page then you don’t have to pass MS-CIT.
Sir.. thnku.. sir aata prelims cha from fill krtana mhcit baddal details vichar nar ka.. jur mention kraycha aasel tr nahi mhnun mention kelh tr chalel ka… karan mi aata addmission ghein mhcit sathi…. sir ani cuttoff 400 outoff ashnar na ki 200 outoff upsc sarkh

@भागवत, अभ्यास करतांना स्वत:चे नोट्स काढावेत आणि त्यांची रिविजन करावी म्हणजे लक्षात राहील. कधीही ३० मिनिटापेक्षा जास्त वेळ वाचू नये. ५ मिनिटे ब्रेक घ्यावा आणि मग परत ३० मिनिटे अभ्यास करावा.
